The 14th Blús milli fjalls og fjöru Festival – August 29–30, 2025

The 14th Blús milli fjalls og fjöru festival will take place on August 29 and 30, 2025, in Patreksfjörður. This annual music festival has become one of the most significant cultural events in the Westfjords, where blues, rock, and popular music thrive in a unique coastal setting.

The festival is held at the Patreksfjörður Community Center, offering a warm and intimate atmosphere where music lovers can enjoy outstanding performances. Over the years, both local and international artists have taken the stage, and the 2025 program promises to be just as exciting, featuring a diverse lineup that will create an unforgettable experience.

In 2023, the 12th edition of the festival took place on August 25 and 26 at the Patreksfjörður Community Center. The lineup included artists such as Krummi Björgvins & The Crows, Langi Seli & The Shadows, Keith & The Boys, specializing in Rolling Stones covers, and Ebeneser Blues Band.

In 2024, the 13th festival was held on August 30 and 31 with a diverse lineup. Friday night began with the blues band Litli Matjurtagarðurinn, known for their Jimi Hendrix-era blues rock. Following them, Bjartmar og Bergrisarnir, one of Iceland’s most popular bands, took the stage. On Saturday night, Rock Paper Sisters performed with Eyþór Ingi as the lead vocalist, and The Vintage Caravan, a renowned rock band, closed the festival with a powerful performance.

Several hotels are within walking distance of the venue, and a variety of guesthouses and hostels in the nearby area ensure that visitors can find accommodations to suit their preferences. Additionally, a nearby campsite and RV area provide all necessary facilities for those who prefer outdoor stays.

Blús milli fjalls og fjöru has established itself as a must-visit festival for music enthusiasts. It attracts both locals and visitors from all over, coming together to enjoy fantastic live music in the heart of the Westfjords.
