the Shooting of the Justice League in Djúpavík
The shooting of Justice League, the latest DC-Comic series will start in the Westfjords of Iceland in October or November. Djúpavík village will be the main set of the movie in Iceland but parts of the movie are also being shot in England and Scotland. Djúpavík is a small village with two inhabitants throughout the year, but more during summertime. Ásbjörn Þorgilsson, one of the owners of Hótel Djúpavík is expecting a crew of at least 200. He also says that during the shooting of the movie, Hótel Djúpavík is being rented to the movie makers and also there will be a cruise ship in the fjord for the actors and staff to live in.
Zack Snyder is the dierctor of the movie and many famous actors will possibly show up in Iceland during the production. Actors like Ben Affleck, Amber Heard, Amy Adams, Jared Leto, Jesse Eisenberg, J.K. Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Willem Dafoe og Julian Lewis Jones are the big names in the movie. A number of well-known Icelandic actors will have minor roles in the film, including Ingvar E. Sigurðsson, Kristbjörg Kjeld, Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir and Salóme Gunnarsdóttir.
The movie is said to be one of the most expensive movies ever made and will include DC-Comics superheroes like Batman, Superman, WonderWoman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg. The movie is supposed to take place in a foreign planet and the first trailer from the new movie was premiered at Comic-Con in San Diego in July. You can see the trailer by clicking here.
