The hot natural pools in Drangsnes are right along the shoreline in the middle of the village easily spotted from the road.

The Pools are situated few minute drive from town just above the road number 617. A small cabin is besides the pools for undressing and storing your clothes.

The swimming pool in Reykjarfjodur, a fjord that is going into the big Arnarfjodur, is a full size swimming pool heated by natural water that runs in the pool all year around.

A small shed is beside the pool that guests can use to change into the bathing gear.

Just above the swimming pool there is a hot natural pool.

The hot natural pool in Heydalur is a few minute walk from the country Hotel Heydalur. Sitting in the hot natural pool feeling the fatigue in your body float away is a feeling like no other. Some say that lying the hot pool in Heydalur gives you strength, and for many that is so true. The hot natural pool in Mjoafjordur is called the "pool in Horgshlid" after the farm next to the pool and it´s owner.

The pool is small but extremely cosy, sitting on the edge of the shoreline. The best way to experience the true power of the pool is to start with a swim in the sea besides the pool before hitting the warm water in the pool.

The pool is privately owned and there is a sign beside the pool with instructions for visitors on how to ask for permission.

The Laugaland pool is situated by the farm Laugaras in Skjaldfannardal. The pool is about 10m long, heated by natural hot water.

The museum is dedicated to the naturalist and former headmaster in Bolungarvík Steinn Emilsson. The museum was founded in 1998 and exhibits in its 300m2 main hall the tools used and minerals collected by the former headmaster. It also boasts of one of the largest collection in Iceland of stuffed birds, land and sea mammals, amongst them a polar bear. The museum store offers both souvenirs and guidebooks in connection with the natural history of the Westfjords.

The hot natural pool at Nauteyri is just besides road 635, few minutes drive from the intersection. The pool is pure natural water coming from the ground. Very minimal infrastructure is at the pool site. Admittance is free. The Sheep Farming Museum is a lively and vibrant museum, in community centre Sævangur by road nr. 61, 12 km. south of Hólmavík. It’s about Icelandic sheep farming, has a cozy coffeehouse with traditional Icelandic coffe, a store with unique arts and crafts and a small inside playground for the youngest. One of the main attractions are the foster lambs who are in the museums care during the summer, guests can feed them with a milk from a bottle. A visit to the Sheep Farming Museum is an entertaining experience for the whole family.
