FAM trips

The Westfjords Tourist Office offer travel agents FAM trips on a regular basis to give them an opportunity to discover the Westfjords in their own way. The FAM trips are organized in co-operation with the Icelandic Tourist Board. Press trips

Arranging PR press trips is an important part of the activities of the Westfjords Tourist Office. We offer support for individual press trips as well as participating in group press trip organized in co-operation with the Icelandic Tourist Board.

Assistance can be in the form of free or reduced price for flight tickets as well as assistance in getting free or discounted prices for accommodation and other travel expenses. Equally important is our expertise and knowledge of the area and our assistance in helping the people of the press getting in contact with the right people and helping them getting the right “angle” for the article or photos.

 

Applying for financial support

To apply for financial support as a member of the media we kindly ask you to contact the Westfjords Tourist Office with the following information:

• Name of the person(s) in question
• Name of the publication (if any)
• Media profile, circulation and reader profile
• Size of the budget and nature and size of support requested
• Focus of the purposed media coverage
• Itinerary ideas and suggested dates
• For journalists working freelance, we ask for a letter of intent from an editor.
